Christmas Lights at Temple Square

We went and looked at the lights at temple square with my brother and sister and spouses.

Greg and Eva!

Pretty lights, huh?
Braden and Katie!
Ken and Cara!
More lights!
Nice view of the temple at Christmas time.
Eva and Greg!
It was great to go and spend some time, even though it was pretty cold. Fortunately, we chose like the only time that the weather cooperated and didn't rain or snow. It seems like it snowed or rained the rest of the days until Christmas.

Here's the whole Pearson family. It's mom's side. We're doing our annual photo at our Thanksgiving day dinner.

Here's the Crocketts from left to right: Kristine, Dad, Mom, Ken, Cara, Braden, Katie, Greg, Eva, (Baby Scott), and (Kory, not pictured). Kory's serving his mission still in the New Zealand, Wellington Mission, and since he left in march, he's got a while before he gets back.

Here's the happy couple! Greg and Eva!

Here's Michael, Papi, Mami, Eva, Greg.

We're going to have a baby boy!

Well, with our latest visit to the doctor's we were pleased to find out that we're going to have a son! That's cool. At the ultrasound, the doctor checked his vitals, and his heartbeat is strong and he has legs and arms, and brain and everything is going really well. At 19 weeks along, Eva is feeling better, and the baby is growing healthy and strong. He'll be coming the first week of May 2009. We just cannot wait. It's such a wonderful and exciting time. We've been busy getting some stuff ready for the baby to come. We probably have quite a bit ready, but we feel like there's quite a bit left to do, but with several months left, we'll do just fine.

Who's Right??

My ultrasound is on Friday, we're so excited we can't wait to find out what we're having. I was kinda upset I didn't find out before Black Friday but I'm over it. I still bought baby stuff. I got a stroller and a car seat on black Friday, then Saturday I bought a crib and I bought a changing table/dresser online on Monday. I think I got the really important stuff I would like to have a rocking chair but we'll see. Buying all the baby stuff makes me so excited!! Pregnancy is a really neat experience with very mixed feelings :) I bet everybody who's had a baby can understand. Everything is going well with the pregnancy, we have a pretty healthy baby.
Ok, so Who's Right?? Everybody that's on my side of the family thinks I'm having a boy and everybody including Greg thinks we're having a girl?? Its so funny, I just can't wait to find out. I really want a boy first so later on when I have a girl, she can have an older brother. People ask me what I think I'm going to have? and I think I'm going to have a boy but now I'm confused how can I feel that I'm going to have a boy if I really want a boy. Are my motherly instincts not working? Oh well I guess we'll all find out on Friday. I will feel really good if I were to have a boy because that means that my motherly instincts are starting to work:)
I'll give everybody an update on Friday. If you want you can comment and guess what you think we're having.

Here we're getting ready for Michael's home coming luncheon!! I don't think I've ever seen that many people fit in my mom's house.

We had great company too!! Mercedes and her family came down to join us!!

I know it's almost a month later but here's a picture of us on Halloween.

Back in Business

Ok, its been a long time since I (Eva) posted anything, but I'm back in business :) We have been so busy and tired(well I've been really tired) but now we're much better. 2nd trimester is the best so far for me. I'm super excited to have a baby!! We find out what we're having Dec. 5th so I'll post something that day.
We're also really happy because my other brother is back!!! Michael is finally back, he came back yesterday!! It's been such a long time, a lot of things have changed in the past 2 years!! Like I got married and I'm having a baby, my brother Christopher has another kid, Elena; she wasn't even thought of when Michael left! My parents got a new house, I mean everything changed when Michael left during those 2 years. But we're so happy to have our little family together again!! I will post pics a little later.
So right now we're so busy because Saturday is my nephew's (Daniel) birthday party and Sunday is Michael's Homecoming, We've got to do a lot of cooking the next couple of days!! But after everything gets over we'll post pictures!!
This year I'm so excited for the holidays and to spend time with family, its seems like everybody gets so busy in their lives and we don't spend very much together, so holidays are a great way to fix those problems!!

Good Times

Well we had a good time this past week. On Wednesday, Eva and I were able to take some time off work in the morning to go see Christopher's naturalization ceremony to become a US Citizen. It was fun.

Saturday, we had a good time hanging out at our house. Eva's parents, Halley, Christopher, and their kids came over for the afternoon. We watched a movie, and played a little RockBand on the PS3. Daniel and Elena wanted to play too, so I let them play the guitar with me. Halley and Eva made the Amish friendship bread that takes 10 days to get ready. It tasted pretty good.

Mean while, I've been building my new shelve system in my garage.
I bought the supplies earlier in the week, and as I've had time, I have built and assembled the shelf. On thursday, during Eva's Stampin' Up! club meeting, I cut all the materials to the right size. I have been having a few problems, as the battery pack to my drill didn't last very long. I had hoped to finish it in one day, but if since I couldn't screw the pieces together without the drill, I had to stop and pick it back up once the battery was charged again. I finally got it put together on Saturday

I am still going to sand and paint it white, but it's all attached to the wall, and I am not really in a big hurry to paint it, because all the stuff I would put there is actually temporarily sitting in the window well of the Garage, and they're out of the way right now. I do hope that I can get it painted this week though. We'll have to see if I find time to do that. I am excited that my design worked out so well. Eva is happy that I could build it and get us some more space for storage.

Also, at work, I've been working on moving the company. We finally moved on Friday, and my boss had put me in charge of making sure we had everything installed, cleaning company chosen, locks changed, everything moved and business operations all up and functional. While only 4 computers are up and running, the phones, email, internet and server all work. The only thing that isn't ready at the new location is that the new cubicle desks have not yet arrived. (I wasn't in charge of getting them.) The sales person apparently assumed we would not be ready for them until the end of October, so he scheduled the delivery and assembly for the last couple of weeks of October, even though we ordered them the beginning of September and said we didn't have the exact move in date yet, but need the desks ASAP. It's crazy because the new chairs and Conference room table have arrived but not the necessary cubicle desks. Basically, it's exciting to move, especially when I don't have to do much of the physical moving. Just the planning and overseeing of it.

We're having a baby

Well, we're having a baby! We just went to the first Doctor's visit, and when she checked out the baby, she did an ultrasound. We have a strong healthy little baby growing. We even got a chance to see the baby move a little bit when the Doctor first did the ultrasound. The heartbeat sounded good too. Even as the baby is just about 1/4 cm long, it has a 180 beat per minute heartbeat. We are both so excited to be parents. The due date is May 2nd, 2009. We thought it would be good to post these pictures so we can share our happy news.

Here's the baby.

Here is the baby's length. 28.8 mm long from head to rump.

Here's where the heart is. It was beating strong at 180 beats per minute.

It's October now.

Wow, September came and went. It reminds of the song "Wake me up when September ends." I don't know why we didn't get in a blog post in September. I think maybe it was that lots was happening, and also that not much was happening. We didn't take many pictures, so that's probably what delayed the writing of a blog post. Oh well. It's alright. As I think back at how the month went, we didn't do all that much stuff out of the ordinary.

Eva had her Stampin' Up! club and Girl's Night Out Crop, and other than that, I don't remember what happened in September. Yeah, we watched a few movies and hung out a bunch of nights talking or playing board games, with others, but all that's memorable is what I mentioned above.

The most memorable thing I did at work was I updated the picture of Eva and me that sits on my desk. now it has one that was taken this summer instead of our engagement picture taken in the beginning of 2007. It was a nice picture, and now it moved from my desk at work to the fridge at home.

Our Birthday Party

Just wanted to post some pictures from Christopher's and my Beach Birthday Party. It was tons of fun!! Christopher turned 25, a quarter of a Century (wow, he is getting old :)) and I turned 21 yay!! Finally!! seemed like forever, but people have been telling me that after you're 21, years just go by fast :( I wasn't really wanting that, I just wanted to turn 21 so people wouldn't think I'm crazy for being married. Anyway so here are some pictures from the Beach Party:
Look at us, can you believe that Greg is still taller than me even with my big-huge hat on???!!!

Here we are getting ready to sing happy birthday!!! Aren't we cute :)

This is us after blowing out the candles, it was fun!!

Aww!! We're with our mami!! Too bad Michael had to miss it!! Oh well, which reminds me, Michael sent the funniest card to Christopher for his birthday, it really is just so Michael to do that! It was nice to get a little bit of him at the party!!

Here is the family enjoying the yummy cake!!

Here is a close up of the cake. Can you tell it was a Beach Party :) Halley and I made the little palm trees as party favors, they have little candies inside. Fun!!

Here is the little sign Halley and I made for everyone to know we were celebrating!!

We really had a good time at the party, I must say I missed Michael. Can you tell?? I keep talking about him. We all can't wait until he comes home!! Most likely November 12th so everybody keep your weekend open!!!

28th of July

So we celebrated the 28th of July, Peru's Independence day. It was tons of fun!!! I wish my brother Michael would have been here, oh well that's ok only 3 more months and he'll be home. He will see tons of changes specially two things: I was not engaged when he left and now I've been married for over a year and 2nd my cute little niece wasn't even in the picture and she'll be almost one when Michael comes home :) Yeah that shouldn't be too hard to adjust to :)
Anyway back to business, so we went to dinner at my mom's house and when we got there this is what we found...

She decorated the table with our flag colors!! This year we all really got into it!
Here is a picture of the entire family before we started eating.

Here is us & my parents with the grandkids

As you can see we were all wearing peruvian shirts even the little kids!! This year we really celebrated Peru's Independence Day!!

Time Flies...

I can't believe it's almost the end of summer!!! This summer is sure going by fast. Ok so I know its been a while since we posted so here is an update. On pioneer day we went and watched the parade we left our house at 6:15am and were there at 6:35am, we went that early because my sister-in-law Halley was running the 10K. So here is a picture of Halley and her sister when they were close to the end mark.

This is everybody that went to see the parade with us, also my dad & Halley were there you just can't see them in the picture. I look so mad in this picture, I think its because I'm squinting the sun was in my eyes.

Here is a float my nephew Daniel though was the coolest thing ever.

After the parade we went home relaxed. Then we went to Greg's uncle Kevin's house, he has a pretty good size swimming pool so we decided to get in.

Here is us watching fireworks that same night.

It's august now.

Wow, time sure is flying by. It's been quite a while since last post, although we definitely didn't mean for it to be so long. Back on the 24th, we went to the parade downtown and then that afternoon and evening, we went swimming and had a barbecue at Uncle Kevin's house. This of course wasn't all the celebrating we did that week. We also had the 28th of July celebration which is Peru's independence day. That was neat too. We had another barbecue, but it was peruvian style. Also, we went to our swimming pool for the first time last week. It's not too big, but we are paying for it with our townhome, and it is fun to swim, especially when we go after the sun sets behind the buildings and it is not sunny, but still warm. Awesome.

Eva went to her Stampin' Up! convention pretty much all last week from July 30th, through August 2nd. She was really excited to be with all the women who do Stampin' Up! too, and who want to grow their businesses. Eva has tons of ideas now and things are going really well.

First Annual Family Picnic

Well, it was a lot easier to do than I thought. Eva and I decided that we needed to do something together as a family. We first tried to set up a camp out, but the timing was not right, so we opted for the next best thing, which when I think about it, was the best possible thing we could have done! We went to the park and had a BBQ and played badminton and ultimate frisbee.
Even Mom and Dad played with us! We had so much fun as we played ultimate frisbee and had two half time breaks. In the end, Dad declared our team the winners (Dad, Greg, Braden and Katie). I do think that we probably ended up at a tie game, but nobody kept track of the score. It was just so much fun playing together. It was something that we hadn't done in quite a while, especially since the family has practically doubled in size with 3 of us kids being married now.

Look at Dad run to catch the frisbee.

It's my frisbee, I caught it.

I'm open, throw it to me!
