Growing so FAST!!

Our little boy is growing so fast!!! He already has two teeth!!! I adore this little guy, he makes my day everyday. I love how he interacts more and loves to give me smiles :)
Scott weights 20lbs and his height is 28 inches long!! He's so big!! He loves to eat and he'll eat everything and anything! He loves to sit and play with his toys as well as walk backwards in his walker!! I swear he almost wants to skip crawling and start walking :)

I just love this picture, he looks so cute wearing his cute little hat!!

When he does this he sometimes moves backwards, just a little bit though.

Now he's giving me the look "are you done mom?"

Here's a few pictures Theo took of Scott.

Feeding himself

Scott is getting better hand coordination, I think.  We give him toys to play with and some finger foods.  Here, you can see he was trying to eat a cracker.  I think that most of it ended up on his face or his bib.  Oh well, he's learning.

Scott enjoyed his cracker, and we just had to take pictures of him.

Birthday party

Daniel turned 4 and Elena turned 2 this month, and we were invited to their birthday party.  Halley planned some fun things for the kids.  Here they are reading a story.

Here they are playing on the slide

Piñata time.  Elena wasn't sure how it was done.

Yes, that's me holding the piñata.

Daniel knew how to hit it and get the candy to fall out.

All the kids gathering their treats.

Waiting for the cake.

Happy Birthday Daniel and Elena.

Here is Scott and me hanging out at the party.

Who is this cute kid?

Here's our little guy.  Always very cheerful, (except when he's hungry, tired, or needs a diaper change).

Sitting and watching me very closely.

"Will you play with me instead of just taking pictures?"

"I'm not going to fall over, I have super good balance.

Pretty soon this kid will be moving around.  He'll probably start crawling soon.  He tries to move around, but hasn't figured out all the details yet.  Until then, we let him sit, and play.

School

I'm not sure if many people know, but I started back to school last month.  I'm working on my Masters degree in Accounting at the University of Phoenix Online.  It is all going great, so far.  I knew that at some point, I would need to get a masters degree,  but I've been putting it off for a while.  Since I finished my bachelor's degree in May 2008, I've been enjoying my free time, from just working and spending time with family.

I'm so glad that Eva helped me decide now was a good time to go back to school.  I've had such a good experience with it.  I love my online class.  It's great how it's setup.  Eva and I were talking about it this afternoon.  One class at a time is a great way to go.  I decided to go with online classes since I would save time by not having to drive to class and be there at a certain time.  While I have gotten a little less sleep now, since I stay up working on homework after Scott goes to bed, I still feel it is very worth it.

When I finish the class I'm in now - Communications for Accountants - I'll have just 10 classes to go.  I'm taking next month off for vacation, but after that, no more time off until I finish.  I should graduate in April 2011.  I'm so excited for that.  After that, I'll take the CPA exam and work on becoming a CPA.  What an exciting future I will have.  I know, not everyone thinks that's an exciting future, to be an accountant, but I love that type of work.  I'm excited that this is how my life is going.  If anyone reading this is interested in learning more about the University of Phoenix and going back to school, let me know and I can share some info with you.

Just one more week of this class, and I'm glad that it's going smoothly.  It's nice that when you set priorities and work towards bettering yourself and looking out for your family, things go smoothly.  Work for both me and Eva is going well.  Scott is just growing up quick.  He's such a good kid.  We love him tons, and enjoy playing with him and watching him learn and grow up.  We're blessed, for sure

Scott is getting bigger.

Here are a few cute pictures I took of Scott just after he got back home from Peru.

This is the only one I could get of him smiling.

He's contemplating something.

He's looking at me intently.
Whoa, don't lose balance and fall over!

He's just sitting there on the bed.

I'm so glad that both Eva and Scott made it back safely after their trip to Peru.  Next time, I'll be going with them.

House is clean

I decided to clean the carpets today, seeing as I have the house to myself at the moment with Eva and Scott being gone.  I figured it would be perfect.  I moved all the furniture from off the carpets, so I could vacuum and shampoo the carpets.  It took a couple hours, but looks and smells nice.

Utah State Fair

We went to the Utah State Fair not too long ago, and Scott had a fun time. We had a lot of fun with him too.

Here Scott is with me in front of a display for QuicknBrite. He loves to smile for the camera

Look how big he is, as he is standing on the counter.

Here we are by the cows.

Scott wasn't sure that the sheep were that interesting.

Pigs!

We went to a hilarious comedy hypnotist show. The guy had the volunteers doing things like being world famous body builders, dancing, rock stars, and other funny things. I really laughed at the show.

We didn't get to the show in time to get good seats, and since I was pushing Scott in the stroller, I told Eva to go get seated and enjoy the show, and I would stay by the stroller and watch from the side. Eva really liked the show too. Scott didn't like it all too much, because the cheering during the "body builder contest" woke him up and startled him. I calmed him down, and he was able to keep enjoying his first trip to the State Fair.

When we finished, we stopped by Tali's house to say hi to her and her daughters. They were quite excited to see and hold Scott.

It was quite fun going to the fair. We've gone there a couple of times now, and will likely go again another time when the fair is in town.
