Our little bundle of joy arrived July 25th at 4:05pm. We are so happy to have him here. He is such a good little guy, and so far things are going great!
So here is the birth story: I started having contractions at 2 am on Monday morning, I didn't really think much of it, I didn't think I was going to have this baby for another week and a half. My real due date was Aug. 4th and I had scheduled my c-section for Aug 2nd hoping I could try for a vbac (vaginal birth after c-section) and I went back to sleep. At like 4am I couldn't really sleep through them and they were getting harder and harder. I figured if I was going into labor I would have to be in a LOT more pain to have the baby so I just decided to wait until I couldn't handle them any more. My contractions were 3-4 mins apart but not a minute long since 4am and they were slowly getting worse as time went by, but I could still handle talk through them. By 7am I a called my mom and told her I had been having contractions since 2am, she said if i could still handle them I should wait to go to the hospital, so I did just that.
At 8am, I called my SIL and I told her about my contractions and then she came over to help me get through them. I wanted to wait to go to the hospital as long as possible because I wanted to have an un-medicated vaginal birth, I thought this way I could increase my chances of having a vaginal birth since with the epidural you have to be laying down most of the time, and I wanted to stay active during labor to help my body dilate. My SIL came at 9 and by 10:15-ish we decided it was time to go to the hospital, so I stayed home while Greg took Scott to his Grandma Crockett's house and when he came back, we went to the hospital. We got to the hospital at 11:00ish and I was dilated to a 4 and 80% effaced. By the time they put me in my room (they were very slow) it was around 1pm. At like 3:15pm I was at a 5+ and 90% effaced, after that my contractions were getting stronger and a little closer together. By 3:30pm, my water broke and by 3:45ish I was ready to push the baby. I pushed for about 15mins and Michael came out!! I was so happy!! I was able to hold Michael right away and I was wide awake ready to hold him, something I wasn't able to do with Scott. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to have this baby vaginally, it was hard while I was in labor because I would doubt myself that I could do it since my body didn't do what it was supposed to when I had Scott. I had the support of my husband, mom and my SIL-Halley. They were awesome and very helpful!!
Here we are waiting to get checked.

You are a rockstar!!! I'm so proud of you for doing it naturally and so so glad everything went better. Here's hoping recovery is 10 thousand times easier too. :D
I love that little guy already. Anytime you need some time alone with him, feel free to send Scott right over here. Tommy's always glad for a playdate, and I can even come pick up Scott if you'd like. Really, put me on speed dial.
Eva...what a great story! I'm glad you wrote it down, because over time, you forget (hard to believe, I know...but after 8.5 years, I've forgotten details about Cambri's birth that I'm glad I wrote down!) Congrats to you and your family! He's precious!!!
